Associate Pastor of Youth & Families

Dudley Shoals Baptist Church is prayerfully seeking an Associate Pastor/Youth & Family ministry. His duties will be to assist the Pastor in areas of worship, visitation, ministry, administration, preaching and teaching as directed by the Pastor.The primary responsibility of this position will be to provide leadership and teaching for the youth ministry of our church (7th-12th grades). He must exhibit a personal and growing relationship with Jesus, is spiritually mature, enthusiastic, and someone to bring fresh vision and leadership to this already healthy ministry. Our goal is for students to be discipled to KNOW Christ, to GROW in Him, and to GO with Jesus in advancing the gospel beyond youth group.

This position will also serve as an overseer of our growing children’s ministry, and will work to establish intentional relationships with the church’s families by encouraging and equipping parents to disciple their students from infants to college. Ultimately it is our vision that he would love the Lord and the Word of God, be willing to cultivate a team mindset working with our staff, and have a heart for God’s church.

Minister of Pastoral Care

Dudley Shoals Baptist Church is prayerfully seeking a Minister of Pastoral Care. The primary role of this position would be to minister and love our senior and aging adults. He must exhibit a personal and growing relationship with Jesus Christ through spiritual disciplines of prayer and Bible study and encourage the same within the church and surrounding community. We as a church are looking for someone to bring fresh vision and leadership into this new/yet needed ministry. Preferably this Minister would need the experience of being a Senior Pastor even if currently retired. 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assists in Hospital visitations
• Preach when the Lead Pastor or Associate Pastor is absent
• Routinely visit homebound members
• Develop and provide oversight to groups specific to the senior adult ministry
• Conduct funerals as needed
• Active with senior adults in their ministry
• Assists in planning service and mission opportunities with a senior adult focus
• Attends all required staff meetings

PART TIME at 20 Hours/week

• Compensation of $500/week +mileage reimbursement
